A mixture of 4-trifluoromethylbenzonitrile 10 (0.350 g, 2.04 mmol), hydroxylamine hydrochloride (0.213 g, 3.07 mmol) and triethylamine (0.44 mL, 3.24 mmol) in ethanol (4 mL) was refluxed for 3 h.
