NH4CI solution (50 ml), and extracted with EtOAc three times. The combined organic phases were washed with water/brine, dried over MgS04, filtered, and concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel chromatography (10% – 50% EtOAc in hexanes) to afford the title compound as a white solid (0.65 g, 60.5%). 1 H NMR (400 MHz, CHLOROFORM-d) delta 8.01 (d, J = 2.15 Hz, 1 H), 7.82 (d, J = 8.61 Hz, 1 H), 7.63 (dd, J = 2.15, 8.42 Hz, 1 H), 2.90 (s, 2H), 2.59 (s, 3H), 2.47 (s, 2H), 1 .18 (s, 6H). LCMS: fR = 0.90 min, 100%. MS (ESI): m/z 358, 360 (M+H)+.
