The organic layer was dried over anhydrous magnesium sulfate, and then the solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (elution solvent: hexane:ethyl acetate=6:1) to obtain 1.077 g of the title compound. The solution was refluxed for 3 hours and then cooled, diluted with 500 mL of CH2 Cl2 and washed with 200 mL of H2 O and 200 mL of brine. The organic phase was dried over MgSO4, filtered and concentrated in vacuo. The resultant oil was flash chromatographed with 5:1 hexane/ethyl acetate to yield the titled compound (1.4 g, 46%) as a yellow oil. FAB-MS: m/e=230 (M+1) 1 H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3, ppm) d 7.63 (dd, 1H); 7.58 (dd, 1H); 7.37 (t, 1H); 4.74 (s, 2H).
