The residue was purified by flash chromatography (hexanes/ethyl acetate 95:5) to give the title compound 866 mg (68 % yield). 1 H-NMR (400 MHz, DMSO-afe): d [ppm] = 8.18 (s, 2H), 8.16 (s, 1 H), 2.60-2.52 (m, 2H), 2.23- 2.13 (m, 2H), 1 .98-1.86 (m, 4H).

After extraction, the combined organic layers were washed with brine, dried over Na2S04i filtered and concentrated in vacuo to afford a residue, which was purified by column chromatography on silica gel (EtOAc in hexane : 0-100percent gradient) to afford the title compound. MS (EI) m/z 373 [M+Na]+.

The crude was purified by flash chromatography (24% EtOAc in petroleum ether) to give the title compound (1 .8 g, 53.0%) as an off-white solid. LCMS m/z: 159.2 (M-1 ). 1 HNMR (DMSO d6): delta ppm 4.2 (s, 2H), 7.64- 7.73 (m, 2H), 7.96 (dd, J = 8.5, 2.5 Hz, 1 H).
