Three quinazolin-4-ylamino derivatives containing phenylbenzenesulfonamides I [R = Me, F, Cl] were synthesized by reacting (E)-N’-(2-cyanophenyl)-N,N-dimethyl formamidine with 4-amino-N-(phenyl)benzenesulfonamides and structural properties were further examined by single crystal X-ray diffraction method. The X-ray data showed that compounds I [R = Me, Cl] contain two mols. and compound I [R = F] contain one mol. in asym. unit. Comparison of conformation of two distinct mols., in the asym. unit of compounds I [R = Me, Cl] were studied with aid of reported literature. All the synthesized compounds I were tested for their in vitro antiproliferative activity against two breast cancer cell lines (MDA-MB-231 and MCF7), antibacterial and antifungal activities against tested strains. Among the tested compounds, compound I [R = F] observed as highest potent candidate against MDA-MB-231with IC50 of 5.44 μg/mL and compound I [R = Cl] was observed as most potent candidate against Gram-neg. bacterial strains.
