The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (hexane-EtOAc) to afford 25 (0.088 g, 53%) as a white solid, mp 118-119 C. 1H NMR (300 MHz, CDCl3) delta: 2.13 (3H, s), 2.32 (3H, s), 6.82-6.91 (2H, m), 6.96-7.05 (2H, m), 7.55 (1 H, dd, J = 8.7 and 1.9 Hz), 7.72-7.81 (2H, m). Anal. Calcd for C18H13ClFN3O: C, 63.26; H, 3.83; N, 12.29. Found: C, 63.22; H, 3.78; N, 12.35.

The inner pressure was raised to 4.9 MPa by hydrogen gas. Then, the autoclave was shaken at 50C until the change of pressure was no longer appreciated.
